1. Try Chalking – One easy way to try out different fun colors is through chalking. Owner of The Private Room in Beverly Hills, Tina Dizon showed me that by using pastel chalk, which are pure pigment and oil without any fillers, it’s easy to temporarily “chalk” on different streaks of color everywhere. From a single bold streak to full one rainbow ombres, chalking lets you have fun without committing to bright neon hair for weeks! It’s perfect for a fun night out, a concert, or just hanging with the girls! The service starts at $10 depending on the complexity and takes anywhere from five to ten minutes.
2. Try Clip-On Extensions – Clip-on extensions are another fun way to play with bright colors without committing. Simply tease a small section of your hair to create texture for the clip to grab, and voila – a bright streak of color! Dizon uses 100% real hair that can be heat treated and washed in her salon. The trick to bright neon extensions? Clipping them a section below your part so it looks subtle and natural. My fab friend, fashion-beauty editor Jennifer Chan said she felt like me when she had her clip-ons! Each clip-on starts at $15.
